Scalix PDF Print E-mail

Scalix Collaboration Platform is an enterprise-class email and group calendaring solution that is the open alternative to ImageExchange. It integrates via open standards with your existing and future messaging clients, infrastructure, and applications, protecting your investments and giving you choice. It provides full-feature support of Outlook. It is built on Linux, so you get 99.999% availability with clustering and failover.

Scalable.

Scalix Server scales for even the largest organizations. It often supports 50%-100% more users per server than Exchange, allowing you to consolidate servers. With SmartCache processing on local machines, you can also centralize your messaging servers at data centers and eliminate the complexity and overhead of maintaining distributed systems. And since Scalix Server doesn’t silo server roles, you can grow your system as your business grows, without having to invest in additional hardware or re-architect anything.

 WEB ACCESS

Employees need to access their email from wherever they happen to be – on the road, at customer sites, remote offices, and at home. Users who need remote access to their email often include customer-facing sales and support personnel, who need to stay connected and informed to be responsive to customers. The problem is, most web clients have slow performance and limited functionality. Scalix Web Access is different. It is an AJAX-based web client that delivers the look and feel, usability and performance of a desktop application.

OUTLOOK SUPPORT

The Scalix Outlook connector provides full-function connectivity between the Scalix Server and Outlook 2007, 2003, XP and 2000. Outlook users can run in Outlook Corporate Workgroup mode which gives them all the most advanced Outlook functionality. You don’t have to retrain Outlook users when you migrate their mailboxes to the Scalix Server, as their Outlook functionality is not impacted.
