Anti-Virus software to late? PDF Print E-mail
I ran across an interesting article on www.commtouch.com a few days ago.  It lists the virus and spam statistics they accumulated during January 2006.  In their review of viruses last month they point out something we have been telling our clients for years.
Anti-virus software is reactionary.  It will only protect you from a known virus after your AV provider has had time to evaluate the virus and update their signatures, which usually 1-2 days after the virus is already causing damage, possibly to your network.
There is hope though.  We can recommend products and procedures that will protect your network from the vast majority of these viruses, even if your AV can't.
For more information on how to provide better protection for your network call us at 817.380.1952 or 888.740.9193.
